Under European regulations speed is limited to 25km/h (15.5mph) so on faster downhill stretches the speed limiter will cut the motor out.

Along with the power settings on the LED display unit, there is also a ‘walk assist’ function which gives the rider a burst of power when enabled at 6mph helping the rider upon startup. There is no need to pedal on this setting, limited to 6km (4 mph) in line with EU law for 'on-road use'.
